Universal Review is an up-and-coming name in the CPA and CMA Review test prep industry, and is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a strong understanding of CPA or CMA exam content. We are looking for interested content creators with passion for education and interested in growing a career as an accounting educator. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will play an essential role in enhancing the learning experience for our students, assisting with video lecture creation, content development, visual creation, and direct student engagement. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a flair for explaining complex topics in an accessible manner, this part-time position with a commitment of 40 hours per month could be the perfect fit for you.
Responsibilities:
- Video Lecture Creation and Editing: Assist in the development, recording, and editing of video lectures that explain CPA exam concepts in a clear and engaging way.
- Responding to Student Inquiries: Act as a go-to resource for students, providing timely and accurate responses to inquiries related to subject matter, clarifying doubts, and enhancing understanding.
- Content Creation for Questions: Develop video explanations and detailed content for multiple-choice questions and task-based simulations. This includes breaking down complex ideas into understandable and engaging formats.
- Creation of Visuals for Content: Design and create visuals with our unique animated approach to supplement content, enhancing comprehension and retention.
- Collaboration and Quality Assurance: Work closely with the content team to ensure alignment with company standards and quality, and collaborate with other subject matter experts to create a consistent learning experience.
Qualifications:
- Must have passed all four sections of the CPA exam.
- Strong understanding of the CPA exam process, including subject matter, multiple-choice questions, and task-based simulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex topics in an accessible and student-friendly manner.
- Proficiency in video editing software and visual creation tools.
- Commitment to 40 hours per month.
