Your Ask Joey ™ Answer

What is an ERP system?

Enterprise-wide resource planning systems (ERPs) are a software system that processes transactions, supports management, and aids decision making throughout the entire organization in one single package.

An ERP system will essentially integrate all of the data maintained by the organization into one database. This will advance flexibility as well as the decision-making process by allowing all information to be contained in one place.

An ERP system is different from a CRM system since an ERP system will improve the efficiency of business processes, cut costs, and remove overhead. CRM’s are used to increase sales, improve relationships, and ensure quality customer service.
