What is a judicial lien?

Basically, if a court finds that a debtor owes money to a credit and the judgement remains unsatisfied, the creditor can ask the court to impose a lien on specific property owned and possessed by the debtor. That really means that the debtor cannot sell their property to someone else since there is a lien on it.
